Vow uses Stripe to handle all payment processing. When you enter your card details, they go directly to Stripe's servers over an encrypted connection — Vow's servers never see or store your full card number, CVV, or billing details. Stripe is a certified PCI DSS Level 1 service provider, which is the highest level of payment security certification.
After a successful payment, Vow stores only:

Before the public app launch, founding members can lock in early-access pricing directly through Stripe:
Founding member seats are capped at 500 total. Once they are gone, this pricing is gone permanently.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual). You will receive an email reminder before your annual renewal date. Your payment method on file with Stripe will be charged on the renewal date unless you cancel beforehand.
You can view your next billing date and manage your payment method at any time from Settings → Subscription in the Vow app, or by contacting support@vow-app.com.
New subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial of Premium. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period you will be asked whether you want to continue with a paid subscription — you will not be charged automatically without your explicit confirmation.
If your consistency score doesn't improve in your first 30 days, we'll refund your first month — no questions asked. To claim a refund under this guarantee, email support@vow-app.com within 14 days of your Day 30 mark with the subject line "Money-back guarantee." This applies to the first month of monthly subscribers.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription → Cancel plan in the app, or by emailing support@vow-app.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access to all paid features until then. We do not charge cancellation fees.
If a payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry the charge over the following 7 days. You will receive an email notification and an in-app alert. If the payment remains unsuccessful after retries, your subscription will be downgraded to the Free tier until a valid payment method is added.
To update your payment method, go to Settings → Subscription → Update payment or contact us at support@vow-app.com.
Outside of the 30-day money-back guarantee, subscription fees are generally non-refundable. Exceptions apply where required by applicable law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact support@vow-app.com within 14 days of the charge.
Note: subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to those platforms' own refund policies, which are handled directly by Apple or Google.
Once the Vow app is available on the App Store and Google Play, subscriptions purchased within the app will be billed through Apple or Google's in-app purchase systems. In that case:
Founding member subscriptions (pre-launch, Stripe-based) are a direct arrangement with Vow and are not subject to App Store or Google Play billing requirements.
All payment pages are served over HTTPS. Stripe's infrastructure is audited annually and certified to PCI DSS Level 1. For more information on how Stripe handles your data, see the Stripe Privacy Policy.
